Business for Good

BlueRock places a strong commercial lens on everything we do, but at our heart we're a B Corp that defines success through the positive impact we have across our people, clients, partners, community and the environment.

Our impact is powered by the Be BlueRock Foundation , which drives our volunteering and pro bono efforts, payroll giving program, and grant funding for our charity partners.

2017: BlueRock Becomes a Certified B Corp

Being a B Corp requires us to go through a rigid certification process every three years. This is an important aspect of our culture that we're committed to, providing us with a best-practice framework to maximise our community impact.

2020: BlueRock Launches the Be BlueRock Foundation

Since our founding in 2008, BlueRock engaged in sporadic charity initiatives. Our business and people embraced Movember, we sponsored charity galas and we clocked up the km's to raise money at fun runs. Then in 2019, an inspiring conversation between BlueRock Private Wealth founder Adam Morse and one of Australia's leading philanthropy experts, Tabitha Lovett, led to the creation of the Be BlueRock Foundation.

2021: BlueRock Creates Policies That Empower Employees to Give Back

The BlueRock Giving Blueprint

Our approach to giving is centered on the donation of time, talent and treasure in supporting grassroots charities to build stronger communities. Employees are provided with meaningful opportunities for engagement, enabling them to get involved in volunteer work and fundraising, and put their professional skills to use with pro bono work

Time - Paid Volunteer Leave

BlueRock provides every employee with one day of paid volunteer leave each year, supported by a company policy that outlines the details of the initiative, and has the support of the leadership team and direct line managers.

Talent - Tracking Our Pro Bono Efforts

Pro bono services allow us to use our skills, knowledge and talent for charities. In FY23, BlueRockers spent 1,727 hours engaging in pro bono work including helping Life Ed Victoria create a social media strategy, developing a financial literacy program for Mackillop Family Services and partnering with Odonata's HATCH Accelerator Program to help 'ecopreneurs' develop wild ideas for nature-based businesses.

Treasure - Participation in Payroll Giving

A special thank you to all BlueRock employees who salary sacrifice from their regular payroll to donate to the Be BlueRock Foundation . BlueRockers are well above the market average, with 25% participating in payroll giving. If your business is interested in setting up a fund to enable employees to participate in payroll giving, learn more about our Corporate Philanthropy service .

2021: Inspiring philanthropy to build stronger communities

Our foundation doesn't just power employee impact. In 2021 we began helping our business and private wealth clients to get involved in philanthropy. Find out how we make philanthropy accessible by taking care of admin, compliance, charity due diligence and a whole lot more.

2021: Our Journey Towards Carbon Neutral

In 2021, BlueRock embarked on a journey of measuring our organisation's greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide equivalents) and taking decarbonisation action to reduce our emissions and towards being a carbon neutral business. We are actively working on our Carbon Neutral Project and we look forward to providing more updates here in due course.
